As you know, we’re always ready to give you directions and this blog post might be the perfect guide for the best men’s hairstyles this season and how to style them.

1. Slick Back

It is no wonder this style is still going strong. It’s a classic for every modern gentleman who wants to represent sophistication and class. It’s important with this hairstyle that your hair doesn’t look too greasy but has a natural shine and volume.  There are many ways to style this haircut, and it goes equally great on any occasion. Also, it’s always a go-to style for actor Leonardo Di Caprio. In conclusion, It’s the perfect autumn hairstyle!

How to Style The Slick Back

There are two easy ways to do this hairstyle:

  • STEP 1: Wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner.
  • STEP 2: Apply the pomade right out of the shower and work it through evenly.  Depending on your hair length this style requires a larger amount of pomade to your hair. Be careful not to make it look too glossy and don’t use too much pomade with wet hair or it might irritate your scalp.
  • STEP 3: Use your fingers or a fine-toothed comb to push your hair back.
  • STEP 4: Finish off with a pre-styling spray to keep the shape and let your hair dry naturally.

Or if you want it to be less shiny

  • STEP 1: Wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner.
  • STEP 2: Blow-dry your hair before applying the pomade so you won’t risk it irritating your scalp.
  • STEP 3: Use your fingers or a fine-toothed comb to push your hair back.
  • STEP 4: Finish off with a pre-styling spray to keep the shape and let your hair dry naturally.

2. The Peaky Blinder

We know we mention this hairstyle a lot
 we know
BUT! Peaky Blinders season 5 is airing at the moment and we still can’t get enough of their classy style and perfect undercuts. The series takes place during the 1920s, 100 years from today, where undercuts were popular and there’s no doubt the show has inspired today’s modern haircuts. It works with almost any type of hair and there are many options to go with it. If you’re going for the look of Thomas Shelby, it’s important to have a textured length on top and a short undercut. As an autumn hairstyle, we’re in no doubt that this is going to be one of the most popular trending hairstyles since the TV-series is a must-see and you can’t help yourself not being fascinated or inspired by their perfect hair.

How to Style The Peaky Blinder

  • STEP 1: Wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner.
  • STEP 2: Towel-dry your hair and apply 6-8 pumps of pre-styling spray.
  • STEP 3: Blow-dry your hair.
  • STEP 4: Apply a medium/strong hold wax or pomade to your hair. The pomade gives it a shiny and more natural look while the strong hold wax provides a more matte finish.
  • STEP 5: Finish off by sweeping your hair to the right while maintaining the rest of your hair messy.

3. ’Going for the Buzz’

Many celebrities have gone short – not on money but on hair. It helps highlight the clothing style and provides a sharp bad boy look. The face shape is a critical factor with this hairstyle since it works best with a long or oval face. In addition, it goes well with any sort of beard.

If you want to shake things up a bit, you could be inspired by our Zayn Malik modern crop cut – or go even further like Jaden Smith and his pink version of the buzz cut. It might get colder but short hair is still very ideal for an autumn hairstyle + when it’s cold you can wear a hat without ruining your hair.

How to Style the Buzz Cut

  • STEP 1: Wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner, make sure the water is not too warm or else it might irritate your scalp.
  • STEP 2: Towel-dry your hair.
  • STEP 3: Well
This hairstyle doesn’t require much styling but in order to keep the sharp look, it needs to be trimmed once every week to maintain the lines. On the other hand, you could also apply a strong hold wax to get a bit more texture and a messy look.

4. The Quiff

This hairstyle has become extremely popular in the last decade and the success continues. The Quiff is less flashing and a bit messier compared to the classic Pompadour and it provides a raw look with endless possibilities. The beauty with the Quiff is that it’s possible to wear it no matter the face shape but mostly it works best with a disconnected undercut. Also, it gives every guy the possibility of creating a personal autumn hairstyle that stands out. If you’re in doubt, we have provided this guide to help you: Everything You Need to Know About the Quiff.

How to Style The Quiff

  • STEP 1: Wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner.
  • STEP 2: Towel-dry your hair and apply a small amount of pre-styler (6-8 pumps). Hereafter, you’d be able to create your shape for your Quiff when blow-drying your hair. It helps add extra volume and gloss.
  • STEP 3: Use a product with a strong hold like the Gold Digger to finish the styling by applying it from front to back. Be careful not to overdo the products when styling or else it might fall flat. If you’re looking for a bit more shine you could mix the wax with a pomade.
  • STEP 4: Use a comb or your fingers to push the hair a bit forward.
  • STEP 5: Finish off by pushing the hair up and back but be careful not to push it too far back.

5. Shoulder Length Hair

When it gets colder it’s often comfortable to let your hair grow. It’s hard to argue against that since long hair is easy to maintain and can be styled into many different hairstyles + you save money at your local barbershop too since you only have to visit 4-6 times a year to cut off the edges. However, haircare becomes more important with the length and you have to invest more time to condition your hair so make sure to buy a good conditioner and shampoo.

You can go with the classic surfer look, like a cool dude, although it might require a bit longer hair than shoulder length. You could also make a middle-/side-parted hairstyle or go with a messy look to create the perfect autumn hairstyle. Actor Keanu Reeves has over the years become an icon by rocking this look the best way possible.

  • STEP 2: Make sure you have any sort of comb. Comb your hair right out of the shower to make it more smooth.
  • STEP 3: Towel dry it and then apply Sidekick Zero.
  • STEP 4: Finally, blow-dry your hair into position, but be careful not to overdo it or else it might become too wavy or big.

6. The Pompadour

Go big or go home – the pompadour is calling for your hair to be BIG and swept back while the sides and back are cropped closely. As mentioned, the Pompadour shares a lot of similarities with the Quiff though it has more volume to it and is less messy. The classic Pompadour was rocked by the ‘King of Rock’ Elvis and many other male-celebrities have sworn to this hairstyle over the decades – it just keeps on going and serves especially well as an autumn hairstyle. If you aren’t sure what kind of Pompadour you would rock the most – don’t worry
we have made the perfect guide on How to Get the Popular Pompadour.

How to Style The Pompadour

  • STEP 1: Wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner.
  • STEP 2: Make sure you have a comb and your hair is free from excess oil and dirt.
  • STEP 3: Distribute 10-20 pumps of pre-styling spray and continue to blow-dry your hair as you comb backward from your forehead towards the backside.
  • STEP 4: When the hair is completely dry it is time to apply a classic pomade, but if you want more control a clay wax will provide more texture.
  • STEP 5: After distributing the product, you once again grab your comb and use one hand to comb while the other hand shapes and smoothens the hair.
  • STEP 6: Push all the hair that you just combed, back – forward – and then finish off by using the comb to create an up-and-back motion – the fringe will then curve back over the crown of your head.
  • STEP 7: When you have achieved the desired result, finish off with a spritz of hairspray and just enjoy the volume.
